Ruby's Rocky Road started in 2010. After years of family and friends raving about her "Famous Rocky Road", she decided to put her product to the test by joining the Annual Chocolate Festival, in the small town of Oakdale, CA.  There was a bit of a thrill at trying her hand against hundreds of other chocolate vendors, but those who know Ruby know she is a woman who likes a challenge!  As her business continued to expand, a friend asked her to make Ruby's Rocky Road as a giveaway for a Women's Conference.  Of course, Ruby said yes, not knowing that one box would end up in the hands of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, who loved it from the first moment she tried it.  She emailed Ruby directly to share that she wanted to help promote her product as a fellow entrepreneur.  This encouraged Ruby as the compliment was coming from a woman who had traveled the world and tried many desserts and chocolates.  Today, Ruby's Rocky Road continues to be a family business.  As she sees her 4 oldest children help run the business she remembers fond memories of cooking with her mother in Mexico.  And every year as hundreds of boxes are stacked up ready to be gifted for Christmas she feels gratitude that she gets to share her love of chocolate with those around her.
